Charaktere
My biggest personal project by far are my original characters based on the technical side of color theory and color management. The insights from my day job in graphic design inspired me to develop two characters in 2018: CMYK-chan & RGB-chan were created based on the corresponding colours of the two colour modes CMYK and RGB. The endings are part of a very popular concept of anthropomorphism in the 2000s, the so-called Gijinkas. (If you aren't familiar, that's alright.) Over the course of 2019 and 2020 I added Grayscale, Pantone-san, HKS-sama and RAL-chan.I like to be inspired by the real-life factors of the respective modes and systems and incorporate them into my characters. For example, CMYK-chan is very technically unskilled and prefers to use analogue equipment such as instant cameras, while RGB-chan is often followed by tiny creatures, so-called pixels and has pretty bad handwriting.

RGB-chan
Your local terminally online girl
RGB-chan(she/her) is a cheerful and extroverted girl with a love for anything digital. She is a fashion and lifestyle blogger with a special interest for the best food and dessert spots in town. She is regularly seen on her smartphone taking photos and selfies and has a knack for video games as well.Being a chonically digital person however made her handwriting and eyesight an absolute mess. When on her own, she travels around on her trusty skateboard and with her large messy sports bag. She encountered CMYK-chan working on a graffiti one night and the two have been dating ever since.

CMYK-chan
A popular, anonymous graffiti artist
CMYK-chan(she/her) is a slightly stoic, yet approachable girl who loves anything analogue. She is a popular graffiti artist but tries to remain anonymous. She also enjoys taking photos with old polaroid cameras. She is not very tech-savvy and most electronics will malfunction around her.She always wears a black face mask. While claiming it is in oder to protect herself from spray can fumes, it is actually to hide her secret: Her braces. Only her girlfriend RGB-chan is allowed to see CMYK-chan without a mask on.
Her and Pantone-san used to date.
While trying to remain on friendly terms she prefers not to talk about
that time in her life all that much.
Grayscale
Aloof and moody but with a soft core
Grayscale(he/him) is a
nonverbal raccoon and CMYK-chans flatmate. Some would argue he's a pet
but he will get very irritated if you refer to him as such.He
likes all things black, white and gray, including food. Thus his diet
is not very varied, mostly consisting of rice with kelp, sepia pasta and
Oreos. His favorite object is his e-reader, however it's not certain if
he can actually read.Grayscale has a difficult
time getting along with anyone else but CMYK-chan, as most don't really
"understand" him and he will act cold at best. However, he looks up to
Pantone-san for some unknown reason.
He recently received his own origin story comic! Read it here
